Sleepless!

I feel like I haven’t slept a wink last night. My mind is churning with boyish excitement.

That sleepless night has spawned at least one possibly-useful idea; to seek sponsorship for the trip. Off the top of my head I could approach:

• BMW for the bike - perhaps something like a GS
• Travel and health Insurance – perhaps asking Ansvar
• Camping gear – perhaps BCF
• Storage for my household goods – Storage King

Each of these would be more likely with a relational approach, so I will explore for mutual connections in each case.

I’ve also wondered if I should push the trip back a month or so, so that I chase Spring around the world, rather than spend the whole six months traveling on a bike and sleeping in a tent through Winter.

The more I think about last night’s idea to ride from Melbourne rather than Chennai, the more I realise it is really not a “choice” between options: the Melbourne departure is all there is! I must make that work.
