I’m cold

Sitting here rugged up with the heater on in my lounge room with only the idea of a long ride to chill my bones, I’ve been pondering that I will take the season with me on a six-month ride from Melbourne to London. Whatever the season in which I start, that will be my season the whole ride through.

If I leave in Australia’s June-July Winter, then Winter will come with me all the way through to a Wintery Europe in December-January.

If, however, I delay the trip and leave Melbourne’s September Springtime, I will follow Spring all the way through to March in Europe.

A much better idea.

So September departure it is. That gives me longer for preparation I guess. I don’t want that, but it’ll be worth it.
